 And, today's search tool me to a site which featured a story about how a Singapore Travel Company used their content to rank for 80K keywords. What a feat!

Going through the story of Klook's Travel Blog, it becomes clear on how they made their way by producing content which is useful for travelers. One of the strategy they used was Trendjacking. So, what's trendjacking. It's a means to take advantage of a current trend and garner visibility, traffic and value. So, it basically aimed at increasing conversation with a larger group of people. 

There are many tools to unearth the current trends in the market. Buzz sumo, Semrush, Google, etc are few sites to spot trends. ( Other site list)

However, don't expect overnight earning from a blog. One think you should know that blogs are like strong foundation.
